What Is a Drum Kit? What Are Its Parts?
A drum kit is a set of percussion instruments consisting of drums and cymbals.
The Turkish word “bateri” comes from French. In English, “drum” means an individual drum, or “davul” in Turkish.
A standard drum kit includes:
1) Bass drum
2) Snare drum
3) Tom 1
4) Tom 2
5) Floor tom
6) Hi-hat
7) Ride cymbal
8) Crash cymbal
- One snare stand, one hi-hat stand, two cymbal stands and one bass drum pedal.
We use drumsticks for hand strokes and our feet to operate the bass drum pedal and hi-hat stand.
