At What Age Should You Start the Violin?
The suitable starting age varies by instrument: wind, percussion, plucked strings or bowed strings.
First, pay attention to discovering your child’s interests. Once you have made a choice, remember that learning the violin takes patience and discipline.
One of our main aims is to help students love their instrument and music. For this, we should wait until they are physically ready. Otherwise, they may feel unsuccessful and lose interest in music. Playing an instrument is physically demanding as well as mentally and aurally engaging.
Around seven can be considered an average starting age for violin, although this varies with the child's development.
