Dear Teachers,
24 November 1928 is more than a date: it marks the beginning of a great enlightenment.
Through the Nation's Schools, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk launched an unprecedented
educational campaign, bringing light to the whole nation, young and old alike. Awarded
the title of “Head Teacher” for this exceptional leadership, Atatürk also shaped our
society's vision of culture, art and learning.
Today, we are fortunate to have you carrying the torch our Head Teacher lit and keeping his vision alive in your classrooms. To all teachers who carry this precious legacy into the future and spread the light of reason, science and art, we send our warmest greetings and wish you a happy Teachers' Day.
Yours sincerely…
